Attorney General Reveals Investigation into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Connections

On Friday, the Attorney General designated interim US attorney Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into political adversaries of the President and their relationships with Jeffrey Epstein. This action came hours after the president ordered her to launch the probe.

In a statement, the Attorney General highlighted Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official stated, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”

This development seems to diverge from a recent memorandum from justice department officials which indicated that the Epstein files lacked grounds for additional investigations. According to the document, investigators “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

The President Demands Focus on Democrats in Epstein Matter

The announcement comes as increasing pressure from the president on lawmakers to resist the public disclosure of Epstein-related documents ahead of an key congressional decision next week. Many Republicans are anticipated to support the release.

Recently released communications from Jeffrey Epstein have brought attention to Trump’s previous connections with the sex trafficker, revealing details that he was more aware of Epstein’s actions than earlier acknowledged.

That same day, the President announced he would ask the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties with Democrats, specifically naming Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Paradoxically, he also referred to the “Epstein hoax” as a “deception”.
